I have had time warner cable now for almost a year. They are very deceptive about their local calling plan, so we went with the long distance just to be safe. Well, I called in to get their unlimited long distance plan for a lower price and low and behold I am not allowed to do that. Lie 1: I was told that at any time(since I was not in a contract) I saw a cheaper price I could request that plan. Lie 2: I called and was told that I had to disconnect everything and take it to their local office. I did that and they said I had to wait 90 days to reconnect my plan. Lie 3: I sent an email(the next day to wait my cooling off period)and received a response back that "they would share the experience with their employees for better customer service...they strive for excellence when it comes to customer service(here is the kicker) but it doesn't always come to fruition." Wow is all I have to say about that. I wanted to give some info to anyone who is looking at downgrading to their local service. They don't give out this info freely, but here is the site when you can put in your area code and prefix and tell what numbers would be considered "in your area." Hope this helps someone else.
