HI! I'm going on a cruise from Oct 26 - Nov 1 and looking for cheap air JFK-Miami roundtrip for 2 adults. I've looked at all the individual airline websites, Expedia, Priceline, Vayama, and Kayak. They all pretty much come up to $219 on United. Is that a good price? TIA!

$219 is actually not a bad price considering you're leaving and returning on a weekend. you can bring it down a few dollars if you're willing to leave from LGA (179 on spirit air).

you can also save if you fly southwest out of Islip (middle of Suffolk County on Long Island) and fly into Fort Lauderdale (20 miles north of miami) you can get seats for $198

Thanks for the input! If I leave from Ft Lauderdale would I have to rent a car to get to Miami?

There are taxi cabs or tax vans if you have a big group or are willing to share to get from FFL to South Beach. Its like Vegas.

how long are you going to actually be in miami and not on the cruise? in order to get to anywhere in florida, you'll need a car. communicating by foot is not really an option unless you're at a shopping plaza. if you end up staying by south beach (which is no where near the miami port authority where you'll be taking your cruise), you'll limit your self to only hotels, beach, food, retail, and clubs.

Not long. Planning to get off the airplane and jumping onto the cruise. =)

You'll need transportation to the port whether you go into MIA or FLL (unless the cruise includes it from MIA), so you need to factor that into the price either way.

As mentioned, depending on the number going, you could look into something like this
