I fly in at 8:15am and leave at noon. I would assume that only gives me an hour to play somewhere or take in a good breakfast. Any ideas? Do any of the strip hotels have any busses that take guests from the airport?

You can play & eat at the airport.

The best you might be able to do, is have a taxi give you a tour of Las Vegas Blvd (The Strip). If this was in the afternoon or evening, even this would not be possible.

You have no time for busses, gambling, or meals, other than at the airport.

if you have never seen Vegas before --- maybe you take the cab ride tour

otherwise grab a beer and relax

Probably better to stay at the airport unless you absolutely want to see the strip up close. Breakfast buffets aren't really worth going out of the way for.

See if you can get a later flight out

Umm, I can get to the strip in 15 minutes, and even less time to the German beer hall. Nothing wrong with a beer so early in the morning. Plenty of time to get a cab, sit for an hour and a half, and go back.

But if you don't want to drink, you can still do a buffet. You have the time.

They open at 11am and hard2hold leaves LAS at noon. They don't have the time.

You will NOT have the time to take a tour to the Strip unless you plan to come back on a later flight. The security lines at McCarren Airport are some of the longest I have ever experienced.

Not much to add here, but I had a 6 hour layover once and barely got back to the airport in time from the strip. I would recommend finding a later flight or remaining at the airport.

Yeah, I completely forgot about the long lines. Thanks. I think I'll just stay there & try to get some work done on my laptop.

rent a Corvette for $50

head out into the desert, hit 180 or so, do some of those huge roostertails you see in the car commercials, return it 2 hours later telling them the car is too uncomfortable and ask for a partial/full refund.

Update - I landed on time in Vegas. I asked the gate agent there if it was doable & she gave me a thumbs up as long as I was aware of the time. I took a $13 cab to Mandalay Bay, played blackjack & picked up some stuff at the gift shop & headed back at 10am. The lines at security luckily weren't that long so I returned at my gate with over an hour to spare. Any less of a layover & it would not have worked. I think time of day had a lot to do with it as well.

try the breakfast buffet at the Paris. If there's a long line, try bribing the host with some green. They have some of the best chocolate crepes there! Pay extra for taxi's.

Surprised you made it back with time to spare. I would have played the slots and shop the stores at the airport.

$10 minimum (UGH). I would have thought that early in the morning would've had a few $5 tables. I played $40 for awhile then cashed out a little ahead when some idiot plopped down on third base & started making kamikaze bets like splitting tens & doubling down on a 13.
