I was considering renting a car for my trip to Las Vegas this week, and I was using CDP #1757580 and the corvette was $112 per day which is a pretty good price. But when I used

CDP: 1

RQ: PFHPCD

the corvette showed up at $50.99 per day, so I booked it.

Be prepared to spend a lot of time on getting the vehicle inspected when you actually pick it up and when you return. Almost every car rental company does this for high end vehicles.

Are those definitely the CDP and RQ you used?

I am trying to find a similar deal for West Palm Beach, FL Aug 30th - Sep2nd..

It says "Requested rate not available - Best rate returned."

Watch your miles too...I think you get 50 per day or something like that. I'd still like to get one in Atlanta if it were possible.

If you don't have personal car insurance, make sure you spring for the CDW -- credit card coverage is no good with specialty vehicles.

Oh, the CDP says "AAA Headquarters". Is that intended only for AAA management folks?

Thats a good point..this will be depressing if I am denied.

I asked around, supposedly it's just the generic AAA code. But why would a generic AAA code give such awesome rates?

Lol, I just realized I posted this exact same cdp and rate code in the main thread a few months back:

main hertz thread

We ended up getting a Pontaic Solstice convertible for $80 after all taxes instead. It was waiting for us at our hotel (Venetian) so we didn't have to go back to the airport. Having the convertible fro the day was great also. Thanks for the great post, though.

how did this all work out for everyone? Did you get the vette for the discounted rate???

When I got there they said the ZHZ coupe just got rented, so they asked me to wait a while. When they called me over they were writing up the contract and they said it was a regular corvette not the ZHZ, I said a regular convertable and they said yes, I said that would be fine. The lady couldn't believe the price and then she said it was a AAA rate and they always had good deals. She didn't even ask me for a AAA card.

We had this car over the weekend and it rocks (we live in Vegas)
. It sounds sweet and freaks everyone out when you gun it in the airport tunnel!

I used my Ford Motor Employee discount (they asked to see my badge, FYI). The rate was $5.00 higher than the AAA rate above but we get insurance at cost so that ran me about $20.00 for a day. I have a gold membership so I booked it without logging in and then when I called to add my gold membership to the reservation the rate dropped another $5.00.

Total cost with full coverage insurance was $101.00 for 24 hours.
