Hello,
I posted this message in another part of the forum where I saw a post regarding quantserve.com. I am having a prob,em with my website taking a long time to load and while it's loading there's a message at the bottom of the screen that say Transferring data from pixel.quantserve.com.
I have found out that pixel.quantserve is a tracking service, but I don't know how they got onto my site. I need to some how get them detached from my site. Can any here help me with this problem.
Thanks
There's no infection or anything like that. ![]()
It's a service which allows web services run reports on site use. It'll help sites to see when a page is or isn't getting views (e.g. "Isn't useful enough to our community", etc)
Think of it like those guys on the side of the road in the orange vests counting the number of cars that drive across an intersection once a year or something. It's also just as anonymous--the goal is to count how many users, not necessarily who was doing what! Same basic principle as the traffic counter guys: Knowing how traffic flows is great for providing better service.
Now as far as why it's slowing things down... you can check to see if there are any ad-blocking services which might be hindering the performance. Permitting 'fatwallet.com' in your security software should work. There's no plague of pop-ups or anything sinister going on!
If you have any more questions, just ask.
